Wonderful Husband!!

My husband wins big points this month. He surprised me at school on Friday with a dozen red roses, sent to school!!! I had not idea he was going to do this for Valentine's Day!! I was very happily surprised and the envy of all of the other ladies at school. I love him so much and he is so good to me!!! (and the baby)!!

Baby Phobias!

Throughout the past few weeks, Eric and I have discovered that our daughter has developed some phobias that I am not sure where they originated from. One of her big phobias is ceilings. She loves to be thrown up in the air and caught, but if we are in the basement of anyone's house and Eric lifts her up where she is close to the ceiling, she cries and cries and freaks out. As far as I know, no one has ever thrown her up and caused her to hit her head. It is very strange. Another one of her fears is windshield wipers. She is scared they are going to hit her. When she sees them she flinches every time. She then cries and clings onto whoever is holding her at the time. Finally, she is really scared of car washes (which I guess goes with the whole windshield wiper fear.) Of course the car wash one I learned the hard way when I was by myself and went through a car wash with her in the back seat. I almost had to crawl back there with her she was shaking so badly and crying. I was holding her hands and rubbing her head and telling her everything was okay. Once you get in one of those automatic car washes, you are in there until they are done. So, it was a rough 3 or so minutes for her and I. So, I am not sure if these fears are common in all kids or if they are unique to my child. However, I feel really bad for her when she gets that upset. Not much else really scares her, so I am not sure what it is about these things that trigger. Hopefully she grows out of the whole windshield wiper one, or she will have problems when she wants her driver's license and has to drive during a storm :)
