This week has not been that fun of a week, Abby got a MMR vaccine last week (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), and this week she had a reaction to it and she got a high fever for about 3 days. She did not feel well at all, In fact, she did not sleep at all one night and her and I laid on the couch all night long.. She also did not eat anything and she lost some wight, and as she is so tiny, she can not afford to lose any weight, so we are trying to get her to eat and put that weight back on. Also, Last Saturday Abby fell really hard, head first into our cement sidewalk and I got it all on video. Abby, Eric and I were out front hanging out and watering the flowers and the lawn. Eric was holding the hose spraying it and Abby was having the best time playing in the water. She was putting her face in and trying to grab the water. We were laughing at her as she laughed and played. I ran in to get the video camera and we were videoing her having such a good time and suddenly she lost her balance and fell, so I have the whole incident on video,. It is not pretty. So that was the rough stuff of the week. On a better note, Abby also got a new baby pool. She has had fun playing in it with Mimi and me. Yesterday was Eric's 31st birthday. In honor of his birthday, we went out to a steak dinner and then had a couple of friends over for cake and ice cream. I made him a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. It was what he requested, We also finally got a 2nd car. We have been a one car family since last October. (we have been borrowing a 2nd car off and on), so we bought a used 2005 Xterra. Eric is thrilled, he finally has his dream car back! So anyway, it has been a busy time for us, but we have been having a really good summer.

Happy 33 years to me!

Last night, Abby spent the night at her Mimi and Grandpas so that her Dada and I could have an some couple time to celebrate our anniversary and birthday. While she was at Mimi and grandpas. they took her to a mudhens game. Here is Abby wearing her mudhens hat that she got for her birthday.

Hanging with Mudonna before the game.

Here are the elephants we saw at the zoo, when we went for my birthday.

Abby and I hanging out at the new children;s section of the Toledo Zoo- doesn't she look excited!!

The giraffes came right up and watched us. Abby liked to watch them too.

The Polar Bears were really active and right at the window. Eric and Abby stayed and watched them for several minutes.

For my birthday today, we went to the zoo with Abby. She had such a great time. She just loves the animals. She also seems to love watching the carousel go round and round. she has yet to be on it, but we are going to make sure she gets to take a ride on it before the summer is over.

Happy Anniversary!!

These are the beautiful dozen roses Eric came home with last night to surprise me. Isn't he wonderful!!

Random family photos!! The 2 greatest loves of my life!!

I just wanted to write a short blog entry today because it is Eric and I's third wedding anniversary! I can't believe that it has been 3 years since we got married. We have been so blessed in those 3 years. We have a beautiful baby girl who is getting sooooo big I can not believe it! We have good jobs and wonderful family to support us and love us and we have eachother. What more could any couple ask for. So today, I am thanking God for his blessings that he has given us. I know that I am lucky to have Eric and Abby in my life. They are the most wonderful gifts from God imaginable. I love you, Eric and I am so happy to have you as a husband and as a best friend. You mean everything to me and to Abby!!

15 month dr's appointment!

Abby had her 15 month checkup today. The doctor said she looks good, she is just really skinny. Her weight is 18 1/2 pounds, which puts her in the 3rd percentile and her height is 30 inches which puts her in the 50th percentile for height. So she is much taller than she is heavy. The doctor wants to see her put on some weight before her 18 month checkup in October. We will have to see what we can do about that. Her head circumference is 461/2 cm, which is still in the 60th percentile range. She had to get one shot, and she did not like it at all, but she got over it pretty quick and when she got home, Dada gave her a Popsicle to make everything better. So, my baby girl is doing well and we wil see about making sure she eats more to put on some weight. Here are some more pics of our time on vacation.

Abby and Oma watching the waterfall in Maryland.

Abby rocking on the porch of a restaurant we ate at called "The Hen House"

Abby did not like what she put her hand in. She was sitting on a rock watching everyone else do all of the fun stuff (like the mountain coaster). It won't be long before she is big enough to do that kind of thing too!

Dada and Abby watching an Indians game on TV. Go Tribe!

Family vacation!

Eric let Isabelle (our niece) help him find a cache at the waterfall. She loved it and got to pick out a "treasure" to keep.

Eric and I went geocaching by ourselves one morning. Of course we have to pick the only morning it is raining. We were drenched and our shoes had to be dried in the dryer before wearing them again, but we had a good time just being together for a couple of hours.

The family at the waterfall. We were walking on a bridge that did not look or feel very sturdy, but it held and we enjoyed the falls immensely.

Dad and I standing at the top of the falls. There was nothing between us and the falls, not very. We had to keep a good hold on the kids, but it was beautiful!

This is Eric on the mountain coaster that we rode. It was really fun. You could control your speed and go as fast as you wanted. I would have loved to ride it many more times.

We rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours. As you can see, Abby LOVED riding in it and had a good time, even though the life jacket was really big on her.

This is the view going up the mountain coaster looking down.

Eric driving the pontoon boat. He drove most of the way and he loved it. Abby is relaxing on her Opa while eating goldfish and drinking water. She looks all calm and ready to go for hours more.

Eric and Abby driving the boat together.

This past week we went on vacation with my whole side of the family ( my sister, brother-in-law, their 2 kids, my mom and dad and my grandma, as well as Eric, Abby and I). We went and stayed at a Condo at Deep Creek Lake in Maryland. This is a really cool lake and a really cool area. There are tons of things to do and we had a really great time hanging out. We rented a pontoon boat, we went to the biggest waterfall in Maryland, we rode a mountain coaster. All of this was really fun. However, after a week together, I think everyone was vacationed out. It was tiring for the kids to be off of their routine for that long and tiring for Eric and I to be off of our routine for that long. We had a great time. but were really glad to finally be back home on Friday night.
