Labor Day Weekend

This weekend was a busy one. Eric had family come into town for the weekend and Abby and I went out of town for a day. On Friday night, we got to see Eric's cousin Julie and her boyfriend Joe. They came into town for the night. It has been a while since we got to see them, so it was nice to chat. On Saturday, Abby and I went back to my hometown to the go to the Milan Melon Festival. We spent the day with my parents eating good festival food and hanging out with the family.

On Sunday we went to the zoo with Eric's Aunt Ellen, his cousin Emily, her husband Myron and their son Zach. Zach is about 9 months older than Abby. Watching Abby and Zach together is funny because Abby is the epitomy of girlie girl and Zach is all boy to the core!! However, they played together really well and were so sweet to each other. I love when Abby gets to hang out with cousins her age. We spent the rest of the day at Eric's parents house having a cook out and just enjoying the day. Monday, we pretty much just hung out at home. WE needed a rest day after the busy weekend before we go back to school tomorrow. It was a nice weekend and nice last hurrah before summer ends! I hope everyone else's weekend was as good as ours.

We rode the train and the giraffe was really close. We got to see him and he was soooo cute (he was the baby giraffe.)
