For several years now Eric and I have had the tradition of going apple picking in the fall with Jan and Frank (Eric's parents). This year we, of course, added Abby to our tradition (and she adds so much more to our little group). Anyway, yesterday we went apple picking with her and she had the best time. The very first picture at the top, you see her "eating" an apple. What she was really doing was licking the juice from my apple. I have never given her any fruit of any kind. We have stuck with vegetables and cereal so far. So yesterday, while we were picking apples, I decided that I would see if she liked the taste of the juice. I figure, what is purer than real apple juice. She can have juice now, if I want to give it to her anyway. So, I took a bite of the apple and then put the juicy part to her lips. At first she was not sure what to do, but once she got a little taste of the juice, her tongue was out and she was licking it as hard as she could lick it. When I would pull it away to take another bite and get another flow of juice, she would lunge for it and try to get it. It was sooooo cute!!!!!!! I think we had an even better time time than she did, just watching her and enjoying her. Anyway, here are lots of pictures and a video of Eric playing with her in the middle of the trees.
